Cebu Citizens Press Council

The Cebu Citizens-Press Council will launch its website, www.cebucitizenspresscouncil.org, on June 28, 2006.

The website contains information on the 15-member council, which was formed to address complaints from any member of the public who may feel aggrieved because he was not given the right to reply or a news report published was inaccurate.

The council also discusses issues affecting the media. The council is composed of not just media members, but also members from the academe (called semi-media members) and members of the public.

Other items will be other information about Cebu journalism and journalists. It also has links with member papers and other news organizations in Cebu.

The website was set up by Max T. Limpag of Sun.Star Cebu. Sun.Star Cebu is the lead convenor of the Cebu Citizens-Press Council.
